High-volume electronics production to an agreed schedule.

Production runs of more than 500 units per month or in a single order. We can handle regular production or take on a selected product or part of your volume as a second preferred supplier.

High-volume production needs a supplier you can plan around and hold accountable for quality.

Procurement may be introducing a two-supplier policy. Production may need to respond to quality issues at its current EMS provider or changes in demand. Before the first order, we confirm the scope, responsibilities and working arrangements.

/ second source

Your procurement team is qualifying Techbit as a second preferred supplier.

Your current manufacturer continues to fulfill orders, while Techbit takes on a selected product, batch or part of your volume. Procurement gains a second quotation and an additional production source for the agreed scope.

/ quality issues

The production manager is looking for an alternative following quality issues with their current EMS provider.

You base your qualification on ISO 9001:2015, FPY, on-time delivery, and the way complaints are handled. You can also visit the facility to discuss the process before handing over production.

/ variable volume

Production and purchasing teams plan deliveries based on fluctuating volumes.

Before confirming the new volume, we will review the components and the current schedule. We will get back to you with a proposed option, along with the impact of the change on costs and lead times.

/ what we offer

Your production run can cover PCBA assembly or a complete device.

You can supply components or ask us to procure them. If you need final assembly, we can also combine the PCBA with the enclosure and wiring.

AOI inspection takes place off-line, on a separate machine. We use X-ray inspection for QFN and BGA packages. Functional testing is performed once the scope is agreed and we have received the tester and instructions.

Component procurement

We review your BOM and work with a network of more than 18 suppliers. We coordinate component procurement with the assembly schedule.

/ communication during production

You know how your order is progressing and when a decision is needed.

We agree on your dedicated project manager, contact channel and status updates at the outset. During production, we report on the agreed milestones. If a risk arises, we explain how it affects your order.

/ order status

We update you at the agreed stages of your order.

We provide updates on the start of production, the beginning of assembly, the completion of work, and shipping. We define the exact scope of these status updates when we begin our partnership.

/ risk and decision

We report risks along with their impact and potential solutions.

If a component, technology or deadline needs attention, we explain the issue, its impact on your order and the options we can consider together.

/ urgent contact

We call when a matter is urgent.

We call you when waiting for another email exchange might delay a decision.

/ one dedicated project manager

One dedicated project manager coordinates your arrangements with Techbit.

Your dedicated project manager knows the project, gathers information from the team and gives you a consistent answer. You do not have to work out who to ask about production, components or quality.

/ process

We manage qualification and production launch in five stages.

The process involves evaluating Techbit as a supplier, defining the scope, and preparing the initial order. We only move on to a schedule for subsequent batches once these details are finalized.

/01

You assess Techbit as a supplier

We provide confirmed information on ISO 9001:2015, quality, on-time delivery and complaint handling. We can also arrange a factory visit.
/02

You submit the RFQ and project requirements

Send us your BOM, Gerber files, Pick and Place data, quantity variants, planned frequency, and any specific inspection or testing requirements.
/03

We define the scope of responsibility

We first agree on Techbit's responsibilities for assembly, component procurement, testing and box building. We then confirm whether we will handle the whole product, part of your volume or selected batches. We also agree how changes will be communicated.
/04

We provide quotes and plan the initial launch

We provide the cost for the specified variants. Together, we determine whether the first order will be a qualification batch, part of a regular volume, or a full production run.
/05

We agree a schedule for repeat batches

Once the initial launch is approved, we coordinate order and delivery schedules. Before any changes to volume are made, we re-verify the components and the available production plan.

We work with TECHBIT on electronics manufacturing projects. We value their collaborative approach, the team's commitment and their openness to discussing project needs and assumptions. Our experience of working together has been positive, and we are happy to recommend TECHBIT as a PCBA manufacturing partner.

/ FAQ

Questions about qualifying a supplier for high-volume production.

See frequently asked questions and answers

Is a qualification run required before a large production batch?

This depends on the project and the client's requirements. After reviewing the documentation, we determine whether the initial run should take the form of a qualification batch, part of a regular volume, or a full production run.

What data is required to prepare a production schedule?

We require the current BOM, Gerber files, and Pick and Place data, as well as quantity variants and the planned order frequency. Requirements regarding testing, inspection, and box building also impact the scope and schedule.

Can I visit the Techbit facility before the qualification process?

Yes. We can arrange a factory visit to discuss the process, production scope and your supplier qualification requirements.

What happens when an order size changes?

We check component availability and the current production plan. We then confirm the available option and its impact on cost and lead time. Additional capacity is confirmed after this review.

Can I supply my own components for large-batch production?

Yes. You can provide the components yourself or arrange for Techbit to purchase them. Before providing a quote, we will confirm the division of responsibilities and material availability for the planned schedule.

Can I provide my own NDA before sharing the full documentation?

You can start with an inquiry without design files and attach your own NDA as an optional attachment. The quotation timeframe starts later, once we confirm that your documentation, including the BOM, Gerber files and Pick and Place file, is complete.
