Expanding Our Production Equipment and Exploring New Technologies at TEK.day

Techbit returns from Gdańsk with concrete plans in place - something our whole team is excited about.

The latest edition of TEK.day in Gdańsk was an exceptionally busy and productive event for the Techbit team. It combined practical business workshops, evening networking and a packed trade show day. We came back with new insights, a validated approach to our service offering and concrete arrangements for customers seeking comprehensive electronics assembly services.

Insightful Workshops and Valuable Conversations Behind the Scenes

It all began on Wednesday at around 1 p.m. Before the official programme started, we had time to reconnect with industry colleagues, including the Weidinger team and the TEK.day organisers. Many thanks for organising such a great event!

The afternoon’s main highlight was “An Offer That Sells”, a marketing and sales workshop led by Cyprian Lemiech. The session provided a concise walkthrough of how to precisely define an Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) for electronics manufacturing services (EMS).

The workshop reinforced what we see in our daily work and when handling requests for quotation: the importance of understanding customer needs, tailoring proposals to the different stakeholders involved and recognising that we will not be the right fit for every customer. For companies looking for a reliable EMS partner, this means complete transparency. When we take on an SMT or THT assembly project, it is because we can fully meet your requirements in terms of technology, quality and production volumes.

The first day concluded with an evening reception. In this more relaxed setting, we spoke with suppliers of industrial equipment and solutions, including representatives from Amtest, which is fulfilling our order for a new production line. Discussions about expanding our production equipment and continuously improving quality in areas such as contract electronics assembly are central to our company’s growth.

A Busy Trade Show and Precision Protection for Electronics

The second day was dedicated to the trade show. After quickly setting up our stand, we moved straight into in-depth discussions with component suppliers, business partners and technology providers.

During these conversations, we finalised a specific business initiative: a partnership with a supplier of dispensing systems and advanced solutions for potting and protecting printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) through conformal coating and encapsulation.

One of our existing customers needed support with additional protection for electronic assemblies exposed to harsh environmental conditions. We already have a modern conformal coating machine, but we were looking for a partner to support electronics potting using resins, silicones and other protective materials.

Thanks to the arrangements made at the trade show, we are moving forward with this project, adding another processing stage to our existing SMT and THT assembly capabilities. This demonstrates how Techbit expands its production equipment and EMS offering in direct response to our partners’ actual needs.

Summary

Our visit to TEK.day in Gdańsk once again showed that electronics manufacturing and assembly depend on more than modern production equipment. Above all, they rely on strong relationships, a well-matched service offering and a rapid response to market needs.
